Fairclough flies to British F4 title
Deagen Fairclough has cemented his position as a rising star in the 2024 ROKiT British F4 Championship Certified by the FIA, securing the title in a dominant display at Silverstone last weekend [ 21/22 September] and throughout the season.
Fairclough’s journey to the championship was marked by a series of impressive wins and podium finishes. His consistent pace and ability to extract the maximum from his car set him apart from the competition. Notably, he matched the number of wins achieved by the 2022 champion, Alex Dunne, and has the potential to break more records as the season progresses.
One of the standout aspects of Fairclough’s success is his journey from sim racing to real-world competition. The ROKiT Rising Star e-sports competition provided him with the opportunity to showcase his skills and secure a fully funded entry in the British F4 Championship. This experience undoubtedly played a crucial role in his development as a racing driver.
Fairclough’s victory is not only a personal achievement but also a testament to the talent and potential within the British F4 series, supported by Reis Motorsport Insurance. His success will undoubtedly inspire other young drivers to pursue their racing dreams and aim for the highest levels of the sport.
“It’s been a fantastic way to get into British F4, and this one also out goes to ROKiT as well” said Deagen. “Without them I wouldn’t be in British F4 or standing here today. A huge shoutout to them, and hopefully this championship is one of many.
This means so much to my family. I’ve been racing since I was five years old, just me, my Mum and my Dad. We were scraping every penny together to go and have some fun and pursue my career. Without them, I don’t know where I’d be… We’ve come a long way as a family, with a lot of difficulties. Everyone knows how hard racing is financially and the simulator racing competition came along at the right time.
I actually struggled to sleep last night because I was so full of excitement, planning every single scenario with what could happen during the race or qualifying. The good and the bad, and everything has aligned today.”
