The First Round of the Japanese Sprint Series took us to Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire. There have only been minimal changes to the car over the winter, with the biggest investment being a new set of AP Racing brakes. Engine wise all is the same so we have a max of 550bhp on tap. As always, there was a massive entry list at Cadwell but it’s a track I know well and I was confident of a decent result, if there were no cars issues.
The car ran perfectly and with dry weather in the morning, I put in my fastest lap on the first run! There was some light drizzle in parts in the afternoon and my final run was hampered by the conditions. My first lap was quick enough for a class win and a 4th overall, the only quicker cars were the ‘Pro Class’ cars running significantly more power, sequential boxes and fancy aero.
