Reis Motorsport Insurance partners with Lloyd’s Underwriters for new on-track scheme

Reis Motorsport Insurance, a leading specialist broker, has announced a new facility with Lloyd’s Syndicate DTW1991 for 2016. The introduction of the new on-track accident damage (AD) product, which is now live, is targeted at race, rally and track day customers at all levels and brings with it the unique security provided by Lloyd’s.
The new scheme is tailored for teams and competitors who are seeking to protect their investments, whilst competing on track. Available for events worldwide, it mitigates the financial consequences of a serious loss allowing the team and driver to remain competitive.
Phil Barnard, Scheme Underwriter at Reis, comments: “Material damage whilst competing can be a significant cost to the participant, large losses can have a significant negative impact on the overall budget. With the support of DTW1991, we’re proud to be able to provide this optional type of cover to our customers, giving them the edge in competition and peace of mind on-track.”
Mike Patchett, Class Underwriter – Specialty at DTW1991, comments: “We are a leading motorsports insurer involved at all levels of the sport, which gives us a unique insight into the challenges within the sector. Reis shares our passion and values. Our combined expertise provides tailored cover, risk management and best practice guidance – together with a fast and responsive claims service. We are delighted to partner with Reis.”
