Come and visit us at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, between 23-25 February 2024 in Hall 2 on stand 2-230 and you’ll see two fantastic retro cars on display that we’re sure will generate great interest.

Crossle F5000

The Crossle F5000 is a remarkable racing car that belongs to the Formula 5000 category. Formula 5000 (F5000) was a popular open-wheel racing category that gained prominence in the late 1960s and continued through the 1970s. It was particularly popular in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. F5000 cars were known for their powerful V8 engines, which produced impressive horsepower.

Crossle 3 - REIS Motorsport Insurance

The Crossle F5000 was a thrilling and competitive racing car that left an indelible mark on the motorsport world. Its combination of power, agility, and skilled drivers made it a force to be reckoned with on the track.

Crossle 7 - REIS Motorsport Insurance

The car on display – kindly provided by its owner, John Murphy – is the second of only 3 cars ever made in 1968 and was one of the first chassis designed for the then new formula. You can find out more about this stunning car – which has undergone extensive refurbishment and was raced successfully for the first time last year – by visiting our stand!

Alitalia Fiat Abarth 131 Rally

We also have an Alitalia Fiat Abarth 131 Rally car on display, driven by Markku Alen (the ‘Flying Finn’) and the winner of the 1977 Rally Portugal.

FIat 131 1 - REIS Motorsport Insurance

This iconic rally car was powered by a 2-litre twin-cam, 4 cylinder engine delivering 230 bhp, with a five-speed transmission and rear wheel drive.

The 1977 World Rally Championship became the 131 Abarth’s roar on the world stage. Alen and Kivimaki dominated rallies across Europe, leaving their mark on Portugal, Sanremo, Corsica, and Finland. Their consistency and speed were unstoppable, securing both the Driver’s and Manufacturer’s Championship titles for Fiat.
